July 14, 2017 - 6:30am

Saturday Night Live and Westworld lead the pack of Emmy nominations with 22 each. Veep's Anna Chlumsky and Criminal Minds' Shemar Moore announced the nominees Thursday Morning.

Past award king Game of Thrones is ineligible this year due to its late summer premiere, but many of last year's winners returned with a slew of newbies on board as well, including The Crown, Stranger Things, The Handmaid's Tale, Westworld and This Is Us.

  • Mr. Robot and Homeland were shut out.
  • HBO is leading the pack of networks with 110 nominations, with Netflix nipping at its heels with 91. Netflix landed three of the seven Best Drama nods with Stranger Things, The Crown and House of Cards.
  • Carrie Fisher earned a posthumous nomination for her work on Catastrophe.
  • The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast by CBS on September 17th from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Stephen Colbert is set to host.
