The Bridge River Indian Band confirms several staff members have been attacked at the Xwisten office near Lillooet. Four have been hospitalized and two are in serious condition. Chief Susan James told CFJC describes the incident as tragic and says the community is in shock.

Kamloops voters are preparing to go to a referendum next month to determine if the city should borrow close to 50 million dollars on a performing arts centre and parkade. In Merritt a local non profit is working to construct a three screen movie theatre and performing arts centre.

A legal battle between former PGA Tour winner Richard Zokol and a highly acclaimed golf course near Merritt  has come to an end. Last year the golfer sued the owners of Sagebrush Golf and Sporting Club over what he said were unpaid design fee's of $200,000.

The Mayor of Cache Creek says it's likely his community will declare a State of Local Emergency this afternoon. John Ranta says about 50 people were displaced Saturday and says a declaration may open up additional options for financial support.
