Salmon Arm-area man arrested for child porn

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A Canoe man has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

Mounties say the arrest occurred on April 19 following a search of the man’s home.

“The search resulted in the seizure of computers and digital storage devices,” says Staff Sgt. Scott West of the Salmon Arm RCMP. “The devices will be forensically examined by technical investigators to determine the content of all images on the computer.”

The man, whose name has not been revealed, has been released from custody as police continue their investigation.

A report will be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for their assessment of criminal charges.
