Crash claims a life in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A 66 year old man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Williams Lake.

North District Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the crash occurred Sunday night in the 400-block of Springfield Road.

“On scene, police were told that a Chevrolet pickup had gone over the embankment and that the driver had been ejected from the truck,” she says, noting police hiked down to the vehicle to find the lone occupant of the truck deceased.

Saunderson says the investigation is ongoing but don’t believe alcohol or speed were factors.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
