WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A two-month police investigation has led to eight arrests in Williams Lake.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says seven local residents and one person from Port Coquitlam were arrested in connection with a dial-a-dope operation that had been operating in the area.

She says the investigation led to the seizure of over $70,000 in cocaine and cash adding a search warrant executed at a home in Williams Lake resulted in further evidence to support potential drug trafficking charges.

“A multi-unit coordinated response over several months permitted this investigation to be a success,” Insp. Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Williams Lake detachment said. “It is a testament to the dedicated officers who worked long-endured hours to make this investigation a success and our community safer.”
