Crash closes Yellowhead near Vavenby

VAVENBY, B.C. — Update: According to Drive BC, the road is now open to single lane alternating traffic.
Earlier: Drive BC says a nasty crash has closed the Yellowhead Highway north of Vavenby.
Officials are assessing the area about one kilometre north of the community, and there is no detour around the site.
No word on potential injuries.
Drive BC says the estimated time of re-opening is 1:30 p.m.
