KAMLOOPS — Students and staff in School District 73 are showing their support for the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy today (Thursday).

The School District has joined other groups and organizations across the country by marking ‘Jersey Day’ — an initiative aimed at honouring the victims of last week’s deadly bus crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others on a lonely stretch of highway in northern Saskatchewan.

“As a district, we have marked the occasion by lowering all flags to half-mast,” said Superintendent of Schools Alison Sidow. “Just to show that we stand with the community of Humboldt and the families who lost a son on that tragic day.”
