KFR called out for yet another rope rescue in Peterson Creek Park

KAMLOOPS — It seems people just aren’t getting the message. 

Kamloops Fire Rescue was called out for yet another rope rescue near the Peterson Creek waterfall Sunday afternoon. 

“Shortly after 1 p.m. we were alerted that we had two males that were trapped approximately 20 ft. above the waterfall in the Peterson Creek canyon,” Platoon Captain Norm Little said.

“We had a rope rescue team go in and rope them out of the danger area.” 

Last week the City of Kamloops told CFJC Today they were planning to add signage to the rock face warning hikers of the danger.
