CHASE — A man in Chase is facing several charges after threatening to kill another person and threatening police.

Chase RCMP Cpl. Scott Linklater says it follows an uttering threats complaint Mounties investigated Monday at a home on Third Avenue in the village.

“A 34 year old male residing at the house was reported to have made threats to kill another person and to shoot police if they attended,” he says. “Officers located the man at the residence at placed him under arrest without incident. During the arrest a loaded handgun was found in the waistband of the man’s pants.”

Linklater says police also recovered a prohibited shotgun which had the barrel cut short and had a modified stock.
