Man arrested, gun seized after tense gas station incident

KAMLOOPS — A 19 year old man is in custody following a police incident at the Petro-Pass on Versatile Drive.

Just after 5:00 p.m. Monday, police responded to “The Verse” and arrested the man, who had been involved in an assault earlier in the afternoon.

“There had been reports that the male was armed with a firearm,” says Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “The male has been taken into custody and the firearm was recovered at a nearby location.”

She says police would like to thank the patrons and staff of the Petro-Pass for their cooperation during this incident.
