Tappen man claims $500,000 lotto ticket

KAMLOOPS — A lucky winner of a cool half-million dollars in last week’s Extra draw has come forward.
Terry Sigurdson of Tappen purchased the lucky $500,000 ticket on March 14 at Little Shuswap Lake Gas in Chase.
According to a BC Lottery Corporation news release, Sigurdson renovates homes for a living, and plans to build himself a new home with his winnings.
Sigurdson says he picks his own numbers, often using birthdays for luck.
