WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Residents of the Cariboo Regional District's Area E will go to the polls in a byelection April 7.

Nominations for area director candidates closed Friday, with Angie Delainey and Melynda Neufeld putting their names forward.

The vacancy was created by the passing of former director Byron Kemp on January 15.

Advanced polling is set for March 28 and April 3 at the CRD office in Williams Lake, followed by general voting on April 7.

The CRD says polling station locations in the area southwest of Williams Lake will be announced closer to voting day.
