KAMLOOPS — Jermaine Loewen scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season in the Blazers 3-1 win in Portland last night.

The 19-year old Loewen's previous best was eight goals two years ago.

He also leads the team in points with 52 in 55 games.

After Portland scored in the first period the Blazers scored three unanswered goals in the second.

Loewen's two goals were wrapped around a power play marker by Nick Chyzowski that became the game winner.

Last nights win has Kamloops within six points of the second wild card, with eleven games left.

But Tri-Cities and Seattle, who hold the two wild cards, both have two games in hand.

Blazers playoff hopes take another hit
