KAMLOOPS- A home on Wilson Street was badly damaged by fire last night. Platoon Captain Rob Chalmers says they got the call around 9:00PM and when crews arrived, smoke and flames were showing from the building, located at 156 Wilson Street.

Crews were on scene until after 1:00 AM. Chalmers says they had to pull down several false ceilings filled with sawdust insulation to make sure there weren’t any hot spots.

RCMP took over the scene, securing the home. No cause for the fire has yet been established.
