Heat Sweep WolfPack Women in volleyball on Ken Olynyk Recognition night

KAMLOOPS, BC — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s volleyball team battled hard but fell short on ‘Ken Olynyk Recognition night’.  Playing the number one team in USPORTS, the WolfPack fell in straight sets to the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat 3-0.

The scores on Saturday night (Feb 10)  in Canada West play on the Warner Rentals court at the Tournament Capital Centre were 25-16,26-24,25-20.

Following the match, the WolfPack honored their now retired Athletics and Recreation director Ken Olynyk.  The Presidents Cup (which goes to the winner of all the Canada West battles between TRU and UBCO in soccer, volleyball and basketball) was handed out as well.  Thompson Rivers winning both the men’s and the women’s titles this year.
