KAMLOOPS — Bookworms beware: the Kamloops Public Library's downtown branch will be shutting down earlier than expected due to long-planned renovations.

Originally the branch was set to close Feb. 28, but it's been moved up to Feb. 26 with the last day of service set for Sunday Feb. 25.

The closure is expected to last six weeks and will allow for the first major renovation in 20 years.

The $350,000 renovation will involve extensive construction work including electrical, millwork, flooring, drywall, plumbing and painting.

The TNRD Library System apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
