KAMLOOPS — The BC Coroners Service and the Williams Lake RCMP have ruled out anything criminal in nature in relation to last month’s fatal residential fire on the Sugarcane Reserve.

The fire, which occurred on Jan. 9, resulted in the death of an 18 year old man.

“The RCMP, in assistance with the BC Coroners Service have not identified anything criminal in nature with respect to the cause of the fire,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
