KAMLOOPS — Jim Cotter is the first rink to qualify for the Page Playoff round at the B.C. men’s curling championship — but not before a few anxious moments.

The Kamloops native, who now skips his rink out of Vernon and Kelowna, defeated Sean Geall of Kelowna 7-6 in “A” final.

Geall trailed 6-2 after five ends, scored one in the sixth and then stole singles in three consecutive ends to tie 6-6.

Cotter then used the hammer in the 10th to score one for the win.
