KAMLOOPS — Old Man Winter is about to hit the Coquihalla Highway again.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning from Hope to Merritt and a Pacific frontal system is to blame.

"Periods of snow today will become heavy at times this evening and through tonight," says the national forecaster. "The snow from the system is expected to ease some time Wednesday morning but another system will bring snow again late Wednesday."

The snow is expected to ease Thursday morning as the second system moves away from the region.

The Coquihalla Summit could get blasted with 25 to 35 centimetres of snow. With the snow, Environment Canada reminds motorists that visibility could become an issue and notes highways could become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
