KAMLOOPS — The Blazers gave up a goal on the first shot and went on to lose 4-2 to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Lethbridge took a 1-0 lead a minute and 23 seconds into the first when Taylor Ross was sent in on a breakaway.

Late in the first Brad Morrison scored to give the Hurricanes a 2-0 lead despite being outshot 18-8.

The visitors would go in front 3-0 with a power play goal by Zane Franklin midway through the second.

The Blazers weren’t able to break through on Logan Flodell in the Lethbridge net until Jermaine Loewen scored on a wrap around just over a minute into the third.

Midway through the third Loewen would score again on the power play for his second of the game, fifth goal in the last three games and 20th on the season.

The Blazers would continue to hammer shots at Logan Flodell, who would stop 37 shots in the game.

Lethbridge would seal the win with an empty net goal late in the third for a 4-2 win.

The Blazers go on the road now for three games in Alberta this weekend, in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton.
