Fraudster racks up hefty credit card bill in Vernon

KAMLOOPS — Police in Vernon are seeking the public’s help in locating a man alleged to have broken into a vehicle and stolen some credit cards.

Vernon RCMP Cst. Kelly Brett says the theft occurred Jan. 5 from a vehicle parked near Marshall Field, where a purse was stolen.

“Just hours after the theft from the vehicle, the stolen credit cards were allegedly used at different retailers in Vernon, racking up hundreds of dollars in charges.”
