Pineapple Express to bring warmer temperatures to Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Good news for those sick and tired of sub-zero temperatures in Kamloops.

Environment Canada Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Armel Castellan says a Pineapple Express is headed our way which will bring warmer temperatures all week, peaking at seven or eight degrees Wednesday and Thursday before a return to normal temperatures on Sunday.

He says that’s quite a change considering “the normal high temperature is just minus one for this time of year and your lows are minus eight.”

Castellan is also putting out the warning to drivers forecasting fog on the Coquihalla today and freezing rain starting tonight and tomorrow morning.
