KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue has completed its investigation of the abandoned restaurant fire in Aberdeen earlier this month and have deemed the cause “undetermined.”

Fire inspector Kevin Cassidy confirmed the news to CFJC Today Monday.

With no gas, hydro or water in the building, fire officials still believe the fire was human-caused, though they don’t know whether it was intentionally set.

The fire, which broke out during the dinner hour on January 5, caused serious damage to the former restaurant, located at the corner of Pacific Way and Hugh Allan Drive.
