Opening day split at KIBIHT for Kamloops teams

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops teams had a win and a loss on the opening day at the Kamloops International Bantam Hockey Tournament.

The defending tier one champion Thompson zone Blazers defeated the North Shore Winter Club 7-1.

Carter Streek led the Blazers with two goals and an assist.   Reagan Milburn scored twice, while Owen Barrow, Branden Toye and Hudson Cameron had single goals.

The Blazers next game is at 2:30 today at Memorial Arena against the 1-and-0 Balgonie Prairie Storm from Saskatchewan.
