Shooting suspect appears in court

KAMLOOPS — A man charged in connection with a shooting incident last weekend on the South Shore made a court appearance yesterday.

25-year old Brandon Dale Fiddick is charged with, among other things, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

The incident in question happened Friday night at an apartment building at 110 Columbia Street.

Police and emergency crews were called to a report of a man suffering a gunshot wound.

Police used a service dog to trace the man from the street where he was found to the location where it’s believed the incident occurred.

The victim, a 40-year old man, was not cooperative with police, although it has been determined the victim and suspect knew each other. It’s believed the incident was drug related.
