KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has hired Wendy Heshka as its new communications manager.

The City says Heshka has worked both in Canada and in the United States in the private sector including owning her own companies. She’s also been a sessional instructor within the School of Business and Economics and Department of Communication, New Media and Journalism at Thompson Rivers University.

In her 25 year career, she has also been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs by Profit Magazine.

“The selection process for the new communications manager was very detailed,” said Chief Administrative Officer David Trawin. “In the end, Ms. Heshka had not only expansive experience in communications and the aptitude that the City is looking for but also presented creative ideas on how the City can better communicate and engage with the public.”
