Police deal with shooting on South Shore

KAMLOOPS- UPDATE- While police haven’t made any official release about a possible shooting at a South Shore apartment overnight, they say the investigation is ongoing. Apparently two people have been arrested, but that’s it so far. The road was blocked off for two blocks in all directions while RCMP tactical officers dealt with the situation.

Fire crews were also called in to deal with a small fire in the building.

Kamloops RCMP were called to an Apartment Building at 110 Columbia St to report of male shot in the leg. just before 10:00 pm on Dec 29, 2017
 
As of 4:00 AM, the situation was ongoing Police are asking the public to avoid the area as police are on scene dealing with occupants of one of the units.
 
Traffic Westbound on Columbia St has been stopped at 3rd Ave and motorists are asked to use Summit Dr as an alternate route
