KAMLOOPS — Care homes at Interior Health sites are experiencing a rise in contagious illnesses.

And while these infections are common this time of year, the health authority asks those with loved ones in health care sites to be aware of the location of respiratory or gastrointestinal outbreaks.

In Kamloops, outbreaks have been reported at the Ponderosa Lodge and at Overlander Residential Care. For a full list throughout the region click here.

Visitors to sites with outbreaks are asked to postpone their visit to a later date.
