Skier dies at Big White

KAMLOOPS — A man has died while skiing at Big White Resort near Kelowna.
Witnesses say the man was skiing Wednesday morning when he crossed under a closed area rope and fell off a 30 foot cliff, landing in deep snow.
Police say the 60 year old from Kelowna suffered a medical emergency while skiing.
Despite lifesaving efforts, emergency personnel and ski patrol staff were not able to revive him.
The BC Coroners Service will investigate the death.
The man’s name has not been released.
