Downtown Kamloops businesses targeted by vandals

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating after a trio of downtown businesses were hit by vandals overnight.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says PDK Cafe, Hello Toast and Expedia Travel all had their front windows smashed.

All three businesses are located in the 400-block of Victoria Street.

Shelkie says it doesn’t appear anything was taken.

“Right now, it appears that it was just vandalism. It doesn’t appear that they were trying to gain access.”

Shelkie says it happened at about 3:30 a.m., and if anyone witnessed the vandalism, police would appreciate a call.
