KAMLOOPS — RCMP have now charged a man believed involved in a police chase near Heffley Creek in late November.

RCMP Corporal Jodi Shelkie says Joshua Real Charles Foucault has been charged with several counts, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evading police, assault with a motor vehicle and breach of probation.

Police tried to pull over a vehicle near Heffley Creek on the Yellowhead November 22nd. The driver wouldn't stop and eventually drove into the passenger side of a police cruiser before taking off.

Police later identified the vehicle and driver. They found the vehicle unoccupied near Barriere.

After several days of evidence-gathering, Shelkie says police now have enough information to lay charges. Foucault was arrested yesterday in Barriere without incident.
