WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A 39 year old resident of 100 Mile House may be facing charges after he allegedly attempted to rob a bank in Williams Lake.

Cst. Andrew Waters of the Williams Lake RCMP says Mounties received a report of a robbery in progress at the CIBC bank on Oliver Street Tuesday afternoon after 4 p.m.

“The bank employees reported that a man entered the premises and demanded money from a teller,” he says. “Due to the immediate assistance of two astute customers and a timely response by RCMP the man was arrested and taken into custody without incident.”

Waters says no one was injured and an investigation is underway.
