KAMLOOPS — This morning’s hazardous spill on the Coquihalla was a big one.
B.C.’s Ministry of Environment has confirmed 20,000 litres of corrosive liquid spilled to the ground following a semi fire two kilometres west of the Carolin Mines exit.
The Ministry says the product is contained within a 40 foot strech of ditch in a natural depression and the fire is under control.
The southbound lanes remain closed while the northbound lanes reopened earlier this afternoon.
