‘Intense bursts of snow’ expected on Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt

KAMLOOPS — The Coquihalla Highway is once again under a snowfall warning.
Environment Canada says a cold front moving across the highway will result in a heavy snowfall between Hope and Merritt.
Accumulation totals are predicted to reach 20-25 cm by tonight with ‘intense bursts of snow’ possible throughout the late morning and afternoon.
Environment Canada says snow will continue overnight, but it won’t be as heavy.
