PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — A unique arrangement between WestJet and Pacific Coastal Airlines is resulting in the return of daily non-stop flights between Prince George and Calgary next spring.

The flights will be available through WestJet Link, a new regional service which is supported by both WestJet and Pacific Coastal Airlines.  The plane will be belong to Pacific Coastal Airlines, but will be painted in WestJet colours.  Guests will be provided with WestJet amenities and benefits.  Flights will be eligible for earning and redeeming WestJet dollars, WestJet’s flyer wreward program.

“We are very excited to have non-stop service between Prince George and Calgary again,” said John Gibson, President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority. “Calgary is the number one unserved market requested by the greater Prince George community.”

Westjet introduced direct flights to Calgary in April of 2014.  But the flights were discontinued about two years later as Alberta’s energy based economy sunk.
