Kamloops athlete medals at World Age Group gymnastics

KAMLOOPS — It was a big showing for a local athlete on the international stage this weekend.

Gavin Dodd from the Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Centre medaled at the World Age Group Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.

He took the silver medal in boys 13 and 14 double mini-trampoline.

It’s not the first time that Gavin has been to the podium at the World Age Group.

At the same event in 2015 the young Kamloops athlete took gold in the 11-12 age group.
