KAMLOOPS — A warm front is headed Kamloops’ way.

On Wednesday Environment Canada is forecasting a record high.

“Yes, we have the potential to set temperature records,” says meteorologist Lisa West. “We’ve got a forecasted high of 16 degrees and if we reach that we’re going to break the old record of 12.8 degrees set back in 1968.”

She says the news is even better in Merritt where the forecasted high is 17 degrees. If that comes to fruition, she says it will break the record high of 16.7 degrees set in 1954.
