Collision near Prince George takes life

PRINCE GEORGE — A collision at the intersection of Old Cariboo Highway and Cummings Road just outside of Prince George Sunday morning has claimed the life of an adult male, according to the RCMP.

Police say indications are that a tractor trailer and pick-up truck were involved in the collision, and that the male driver of the pick-up truck died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The highway was closed for a number of hours while investigators gathered evidence and measurements from the scene.

Police and the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
