KAMLOOPS — Jim Cotter's delicate hack weight tap with last rock in the 5th end scored five and the Cotter/John Morris rink went on to a
9-3 win over Jamie Murphy in the B.C. teams first draw at the Olympic pre-trials.

On the women's side Kerri Einarson scored four in the 10th end in an 11-7 win over Karla Thompson of Kamloops.

Thompson will face 1-and-0 Jacqueline Harrison from Mississauga this morning.

14 men's and 14 women's rinks are playing for two berths in each to next month's Olympic trials in Ottawa.

The trials will decide Canada's rinks for the 2018 Olympics.
