Cotter opens with a win, Thompson a loss at Road to the Roar

KAMLOOPS — Jim Cotter’s delicate hack weight tap with last rock in the 5th end scored five and the Cotter/John Morris rink went on to a
9-3 win over Jamie Murphy in the B.C. teams first draw at the Olympic pre-trials.
On the women’s side Kerri Einarson scored four in the 10th end in an 11-7 win over Karla Thompson of Kamloops.
Thompson will face 1-and-0 Jacqueline Harrison from Mississauga this morning.
14 men’s and 14 women’s rinks are playing for two berths in each to next month’s Olympic trials in Ottawa.
