KAMLOOPS — Michael Ternier is the new owner of the Tobiano Golf Course.

Ternier, who already owns 50 per cent of Tobiano Living, is looking forward to the challenge.

"I am thrilled that I was able to seize a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most remarkable golf courses in North America," he said in a news release.

Ternier notes he has few plans to change things.

"The management and staff in all departments are truly excellent and I will not be making any changes."

He says the main priority moving forward will be the opening of a new hotel. Over the next three years, Ternier says there are also plans for additional amenities and services including a village centre, tennis courts and a community amenity building.

He purchased the course from John Preston and Henry Berezicki.
