KAMLOOPS —  For only the second time in Thompson River Universities Canada West history — which includes basketball, volleyball and soccer — a WolfPack athlete has been named the Canada West player of the year.

It goes to soccer midfielder Mitch Popadynetz.

Popadynetz was the offensive leader for the WolfPack this season with seven goals and ten assists.

His 17 points tied for the league lead in scoring, and his assists (10) led the conference.
