KAMLOOPS — Today's sudden burst of winter hasn't had too big an impact at Kamloops Airport.

"We are moving along," says Managing Director Heather McCarley. "The Kamloops Airport team is experienced and they're out there clearing snow and keeping the airport safe. Though we have seen some flight delays and one cancellation this morning I understand that was due to poor visibility."

And with more snow in the forecast for later this afternoon into the early morning hours tomorrow she has the following advice.

"I would suggest that you take a step back, make sure you're checking with our airline and checking the latest information on the flight. You can also go to the Kamloops Airport website."

Earlier today, Environment Canada meteorologist Doug Lundquist said once all the snow has fallen, we'll likely have around 10 or 15 centimetres in the valley bottom depending on where you live and over higher terrain it could be 15 to 25 or perhaps 30 in some spots.
