Special weather statement issued for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops is about to receive its first significant snow event of the season.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the South Thompson.

“An Arctic front will move across the southwest Interior on Thursday,” it reads. “Ahead of the front, snow will develop overnight across most regions of the southwest Interior. Across the Interior highway passes 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is likely overnight Wednesday and Thursday.”

Kamloops, Salmon Arm, and the north Okanagan are expected to be affected.
