Hallowe’en quiet in Kamloops – and a Superhero saves the day in Vernon

KAMLOOPS — RCMP and Fire Rescue personnel say it was an uneventful Hallowe’en in Kamloops last night.
Some rain showers may have helped in putting a damper on the tricksters, but no serious issues, and almost no minor ones marred the event.
And news anchor Tom Mark at our sister station KISS FM in Vernon says a SuperHero came to the rescue at a Vernon-area school Hallowe’en party yesterday.
A student dressed as a Coke machine put part of his costume on the cafeteria kitchen counter, which turned a knob on the stove and ignited the box.
