100 MILE HOUSE , B.C. — RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating a shooting in Lone Butte, between 100 Mile House and Little Fort.

RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says police were called to a home in the 6800 block of Highway 24 at 10 a.m. Sunday

Upon arrival they found one person dead and another person suffering from what appears to be a gunshot wound.

The person was taken to hospital with no report of their condition.

Saunderson says police believe the people involved are known to each other and there's no danger to the general public.

An earlier report indicated the shooting was in Little Fort, but later reports indicated the shooting was actually in Lone Butte.
