KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have arrested a man without incident in relation to the ongoing police operation at the G&M Mobile Home Park.

The arrest was made 4 a.m. Saturday.

On Friday an employee at a manufacturing plant on the Tk'emlups Reserve says he witnessed a gun battle between police and an apparent suspect.

The suspect fled to what witnesses say was likely the mobile park although RCMP haven't confirmed it.

Sergeant Brandon Buliziuk says the park remains closed to the public as members continue to investigate the incident.

No further details on the man have been released at this time.

Highway 5 North has now been re-opened as well as Shuswap Rd East from the intersection with Highway 5 North.

RCMP are thanking the public for their help and patience during the lengthy incident.

More information is expected to be released.
