Blazers remain winless at home

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers remain winless on home ice in six games after a 3-1 loss to the Everett Silvertips.

Everett scored its first two goals on the power play, both by Connor Dewar, late in the first and early in the second.

The Silvertips made it 3-0 on a Connor Dewar to Riley Sutter to Bryce Kindopp who got behind the Kamloops defence to beat Dylan Ferguson.

The Blazers only goal came late in the second from Ondrej Vala on a point shot, his third of the season from Joe Gatenby and Connor Zary.

Kamloops outshot Everett 39-26 with Dustin Wolf in his first career start stopping 38.

Power plays made a difference with Everett going 2-for-5, the Blazers were 0-for-3.

Kamloops will host Tri-Cities Saturday night.
