VERNON, B.C. — A man accused of threatening a prostitute with a gun near Falkland has made a video court appearance in Vernon.

36 year Curtis Sagmoen is charged with seven offences from an incident back in August on Salmon River Road where a sex trade worker had attended a pre-arranged meeting with a man.

The charges include uttering threats, disguising face with intent to commit an offence, pointing a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.

Sagmoen also has ties to a farm on Salmon River Road — land his family owns — that has been the site of an RCMP search for the last week, and where human remains were found.
