SUN PEAKS, B.C. — Its a welcome sight for ski bunnies.

In a Twitter post this morning Sun Peaks Resort announced 23 centimetres of snow had fallen on the mountain in the last 24 hours blanketing the village and ski hills.

Christina Antoniak, Director of Marketing and Communications with Sun Peaks Resort, called the snowfall unique for this time of year.

“It’s not rare to see snow as we get into the latter part of October but to see a significant amount of snowfall upwards of a foot is something quite special for this time of year.”
