KAMLOOPS — If you plan on dining out at Red Robins in the Summit Shopping Centre Saturday night don’t be surprised if a Kamloops RCMP member brings you your order.

Mounties, BC Corrections officers and Special Olympic BC athletes will be there from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. collecting donations.

“They’re going to be raising funds and making people aware of the Special Olympics and we hope everyone comes out to support us,” says Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “Police officers are notoriously bad at serving food but we still hope people will tip appropriately. It all goes towards the Special Olympics.”

Special Olympics BC President Dan Howe says he’s grateful for the support.
